In a major boost to Jaipur, Aussie batsman, Aaron Finch will join the squad in their IPL campaign as the latest foreign recruit.
South African skipper Graeme Smith was ruled out of the third edition of the Indian Premier League after he sustained a finger injury while Dimitri Mascarenhas was rendered unfit too.
The 23-year-old Finch is an aggressive batsman and is Victoria's mainstay, especially in the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash.
Finch was previously seen in action in India during the the inaugural Airtel Champions Champions League Twenty20 in October 2009.
However, the batsman is not a replacement for the injury-hit Jaipur side. The IPL had already ruled out any replacements for Smith and Mascarenhas.
Finch made his way into fellow Victorian Shane Warne's team solely because the franchise had a vacant slot for a foreign player in their ranks.
Jaipur, who were on a losing streak in their opening three matches, finally revived their campaign with a hat-trick of victories against Kolkata, Mohali and Hyderabad.
Warne’s men, currently placed third in the standings, play their next match against Chennai at Ahmedabad on Sunday.
