Title: Kolkata's dismal run continues, Punjab win

Desc:

We just witnessed another nail biting finish between the Kings XI & Knight Riders. The match went down right till the last ball & Punjab Kings XI went on to win the game.

The Knight Riders showed a very sloppy fielding performance. After the first wicket of Kumara Sangakkara, they missed 3 chances to dismiss SImon Katich & Sunny Sohal. Had it not been for those missed chances, Kolkata Knight Riders would have been in with a very good chance to win this game.

Mahela Jayawardene & Irfan Pathan put up a strong last wicket partnership & made sure that their team won. The Srilankan captain went on to score his maiden half century in the DLF IPL 2009 & ended with 52 not out off 41 deliveries. Pathan showed a mature innings, though a small one, but he hit 19 or 16 deliveries.

Earlier Brad Hodge hit 70 runs off 43 deliveries & gave the Knight Riders a formidable total. No one apart from him in the Knight Riders really got their innings going. The second highest score was that of Saurav Ganguly who managed to     make 22 runs off 17 balls.

Piyush Chawla continued to show good performances by taking 2 wickets.

Mahela Jayawardene was declared Man Of The Match for his match winning half century.
