Du Preez is the kind of seamer who could bowl faster if he wanted to. But not without sacrificing accuracy. So he tends to err on the side of tidy figures, and is no doubt a better bowler for that. He also knows how to hold a bat in the upper reaches of the lower middle-order. Du Preez took 55 wickets to spearhead the Eagles' flight to the SuperSport Series title in 2007-08. He signed a Kolpak deal with Leicestershire in 2008, taking 32 wickets in the championship, and played two games for Bangalore Royal Challengers in IPL 2009.
