The talented batting all-rounder played five Big Bash matches in 2009 but his figures weren't great. He scored 52 runs at an average of 13 and his leg-spin was used for only four overs, despite some encouraging performances a year earlier. The 20-year-old was more productive in the Sheffield Shield, adding 207 runs in four matches and five wickets. He was a member of the 2008 Australian Under-19 World Cup squad and has played league cricket in Kent.
