Lean, mean and skiddy, Uttar Pradesh medium-pacer Sudeep Tyagi broke into the domestic cricket scene with a bang; he finished his first season in the Ranji Trophy as the leading wicket-taker, but injuries laid him low and he was forced to miss the next season. However, he was signed up by the Chennai Super Kings for IPL-2009 based on the talent they saw in him. He picked up five wickets in the limited opportunities he was given, and continues to be pick up wickets consistently. He continues to be successful on the domestic cricket circuit, is rated very highly, and will be hoping to get a few more opportunities to showcase his talent.
